Tech revolution heralds 'smart' appliances

An expert talk on a technology which could revolutionise our use of daily appliances, is being held in Douglas this evening (12 Oct).

Commentator and former academic Dr Alasdair Allan has been invited to speak on the Internet of Things, at an event hosted by the Isle of Man section of the British Computer Society.

Dr Allan will describe the many practical uses of IoT, and also outline the risk it brings to personal security and internet privacy.

The talk at the Claremont Hotel starts at 6.15pm.
