Digital inclusion seminar

Drive to encourage more people online

A seminar is being held in Douglas next week to support efforts to promote digital inclusion in the Isle of Man.

The event at the Ballakermeen Studio Theatre on Thursday 15 February will enable people to improve their digital skills, so they are better equipped to help others in the local community.

Organised by the Cabinet Office, it is part of the Government’s Digital Inclusion Strategy which brings together partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors to encourage more people to get online.

The seminar, which will take place from 9am to 1:30pm, is free to attend and is open to anyone who feels they would benefit from the guidance, best practice and practical support on offer.

It will be useful for those who interact with people in the community through their work in areas such as nursing and care homes, banking, social security, libraries and charities.

Tickets can be booked on Eventbrite and further information is available from Pam Teare on 685293.
