Island-based businessman plans multi-million pound project
Plans for a luxury clubhouse including bar, restaurant and offices have been unveiled as part of a multi-million pounds investment in the north of the Island.
Island-based businessman John Morphet wants to develop the Glen Truan golf course and grounds in Bride as a one-stop destination in a £3.5 million project.
The overall development, which will take three years to complete, would also see 55 log cabins for both holiday and residential use and a spa and wellbeing centre.
Mr Morphet, chairman of the Pure Leisure Group, which has a track record of developing golf courses, holiday accommodation and leisure parks, says he’s excited by the plans but insists they must be sensitive to the natural beauty of the area.
