31 recommendations in Covid review

Reimbursing Comis residents and reviewing emergency powers among KC's suggestions

A review into government's handling of the Covid pandemic has made 31 recommendations.

Kate Brunner KC's findings include that government should refund the charges imposed on returning residents who had to stay at The Comis Hotel during the pandemic.

She also calls for a comprehensive review of emergency powers, for urgent action to ensure future oxygen supplies at Noble's Hospital and improved accessibility to government communication.

The 3,600-page report has been published this morning.

Ms Brunner's previously stated the purpose of the review is not to apportion blame or praise, but to ensure lessons can be learnt from the pandemic.

The review is expected to cost £1.5m.

Manx Radio will have more on the contents of the report in due course.
