Follows request for parents not to use car park
More than £40,000 has been spent improving access and safety at Laxey School.
A vehicle barrier was installed last year and a 'pupil corridor fencing' was installed down the side of the school and across the bottom of the car park.
The school had previously advised parents not to use the car park - which is now only accessible to staff.
The work itself by the Department of Infrastructure, following a request from the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.
The barrier, including the intercom and card access, cost £14,048, while the fencing came in at £27,616.
