Aldi not ruling out possibility of setting up shop on Isle of Man

Supermarket giant opening 500 new stores across British Isles

Aldi say they've no immediate plans to open a store in the Isle of Man - but they're not ruling out the possibility of one day setting up in the Island.

The giant supermarket chain's announced they're introducing 500 new branches across the British Isles.

A spokesperson for the company's told Manx Radio 'while there are towns and areas that don't have an Aldi, we’re committed to continue growing and make affordable, high-quality food accessible to all.'

They've just opened their 1,000th store in the UK and have set their sights on establishing a total of 1,500.

According to the latest data, having first opened in 1990 they're now Britain's fourth biggest grocer with every one pound in ten going through their tills.
