'Alternative policy' needed before any vote of no confidence says MHK

Claire Christian believes more questions need to be asked

A Douglas South MHK says a vote of no confidence in the chief minister would only be relevant if there was an alternative policy on the table.

Questions have been raised about Alfred Cannan's leadership following this year's Budget.

A public petition - which was started yesterday (2 March) - has attracted more than 700 signatures so far. 

Mr Cannan says any calls for his dismissal should be brought through ‘proper robust debate’ in the House of Keys and Tynwald.

But Claire Christian, who this week resigned from her position within the Department of Education, Sport and Culture, told Manx Radio it's all about timing:
