Expect waves and debris on exposed coastal roads, says Met Office
An amber weather warning has been issued for coastal overtopping and inner harbour flooding around the time of high tide today (circa 1:30pm).
Between 11:30am and 3:30pm sea water and debris is expected to affect exposed coasts and promenades such as: Shore Road, Rushen, Castletown prom, the central and northern ends of Douglas promenade and to a lesser extent Laxey prom and Ramsey prom.
The high spring tides may cause some flooding in areas including The Tongue, North Quay and Lake Road in Douglas; Mezeron corner and a small risk at West Quay in Ramsey; and prone parts of Castletown.
The conditions in the areas affected are expected to be very similar to yesterday lunchtime's high tide.
