Measures to go before Keys in New Year

There’s lots more to be heard in the local abortion debate - so say opponents of proposed reforms.

The final draft of a bill proposing changes to the Island’s abortion laws are due to be presented to the House of Keys next month.

The measures, being brought forward by Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson, include allowing women a termination up to 14 weeks into their pregnancy.

Liz Parsons, senior education officer for Life UK, spoke to politicians this week and says many details provided to date have not given a rounded picture.
