Appleby leak could be 'huge'

Emergency UK conference planned

A 'massive' leak of sensitive information from an Island law firm is to be the focus of an industry gathering next month.

Finance blog OffshoreAlert has organised a last-minute conference talk on the 'bombshell revelation' at Appleby, which has offices on Athol Street.

It's understood the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists is preparing to release information on wealthy clients already being dubbed the 'Panama Papers II' by commentators.

The firm says allegations of wrongdoing are 'unfounded'.

Both Appleby and the ICIJ have been invited to speak at the conference, which takes place at The Grange St Paul's Hotel in London on 13 November.
