Bishop of Sodor and Man 'here for the whole Island'

Commissary Bishop says role has been significant throughout Island's history

The Bishop's commitment to listening to a wide range of views is 'vitally important' and is needed in Tynwald debate.

That's the view of the Right Reverend Mark Davies, Anglican Bishop of Middleton in the Diocese of Manchester.

He says the Bishop has been a 'significant player' throughout the history of Tynwald and should continue to be one.

Bishop Mark has been appointed to take responsibility for the smooth running of the Diocese of Sodor and Man until a permanent appointment is made.

He caught up with Manx Radio's Judith Ley after Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper's public consultation into the future of the role closed last week:
