Bus station update 'amounts to nothing', says Douglas MHK

Joney Faragher frustrated with Minister's letter

A letter from the infrastructure minister, explaining what's been done since July to improve Douglas' bus station facilities, 'amounts to nothing', according to an MHK.

Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher's Tynwald resolution, passed in 2023, asked that a 'detailed plan' be submitted to members before the end of the year.

At the time the need to improve facilities in the capital was described as 'a priority'.

Ms Faragher says that's not reflected in Minister Crookall's letter:

Minister Crookall says the use of the Sea Terminal was considered, but it was found the entrance and exit points and limited area for parking and manoeuvring buses makes the option unviable.
