Cannabis plant could be built within 12 months of approval

Over 50 people attended the public meeting in Castletown

How many jobs will be created through the company, can cannabis kill cancer cells and help with arthritis, how much of energy and water will the facility use and how long after approval is granted will work begin on the plant?

Those were some of the questions put to members of Grow Lab Organics present at a public meeting in Castletown yesterday. 

 

It's hoped a planning application for a high-tech cannabis farm in the South of the Island will be approved. 

According to the team once they get the green light they can have phase one of the facility up and running within 12 months.
