Claims marshals' possessions would be 'left outside' during Mountain Road closure

Frustration over 'daft decision'

A decision to close the Mountain Road earlier this week has been described as a 'daft' one by the chair of the Manx Grand Prix Supporters Club.

The road was shut between 9.30am and 4.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday whilst the Department of Infrastructure removed course equipment.

However, during this period Allan Brew alleges marshals were notified that all possessions must be removed from the marshals' shelters, or they would be left outside whilst the shelters were taken away.

Manx Radio is expecting a response to Mr Brew's claims from the Island's motorsport team.
