First time this species has stranded on the Island
A dead long finned pilot whale has washed up at a Jurby Beach during yesterday's high tide.
Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch say it's the first time the species has been stranded on the Isle of Man.
No obvious cause of death has been found, and various samples have been sent off to the UK for analysis.
The group urges people not to come to the beach for a look, adding the whale's body should wash back out to sea this afternoon.
