CCTV footage posted on social media
Police are asking people not to speculate on social media after a man was arrested in connection with a stolen charity tin.
The tin was stolen from a business in Douglas on Saturday, and officers say a man is now assisting with their investigation.
But CCTV footage released onto Facebook has led to much speculation online, which could land people in trouble for contempt of court.
Police say if you have any information, you should contact them rather than publish it online – you can contact officers on 631212.
