Emergency services face 'significant' challenge after responding to school fire alarm

Those dropping kids off told to 'park responsibly'

Castle Rushen High School has reprimanded parents dropping their children off for blocking the school driveway with some parking on double yellow lines.

It comes after the fire alarm sounded yesterday morning which prompted fire and rescue services to respond, but faced 'significant' challenges upon arrival.

The school says it serves as a 'stark' reminder of the importance of maintaining clear access for emergency services.

The alarm turned out to be false but was unscheduled.
