'Essential' emissions are reduced at Isle of Man motorsport events

Government seeking auditors to assess sustainability of TT, MGP and S100

Government says it's essential the emissions produced during motorsport events on the Island are reduced as much as possible.

It's seeking expressions of interest to carry out an Emissions and Sustainability Audit on the Isle of Man TT, Manx Grand Prix and Southern 100 events.

The audit is for the benefit of the Department for Enterprise and the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.

Government says the events are of significant cultural and historical importance and, therefore, it is essential their sustainability is maximised, and emissions reduced as far as possible.

The audit, it says, will help inform inform a strategic plan.

It will need to include breakdown reports showing a calculation of the emissions caused by and related to each event and identify areas where emissions are unavoidable and so may need to, somehow, be offset.

The Quick Quote will remain available on the Portal for Expressions of Interest until noon Friday 22 March 2024.

Quick Quote Submissions must be submitted through the above Portal by noon Tuesday

16 April 2024.
