
An element of a new funding scheme for Manx farmers may be put on hold, in part because it needs 'more teeth'.

At the March sitting of Tynwald, members will be asked to approve the Agricultural Development Scheme, which will signal a change in what Manx farmers are given money for.
The 'active farmer' requirement will be delayed for a year, if the court votes in favour.
Mr Brumby has told Manx Radio that's to give more time for people it affects to adjust, but also because the legislation needs to be stronger:
