Some transformation projects paused due to budget constraints
Financial challenges have caused delays to changes to the Island's health service.
The annual report into the Health and Care Transformation Programme has been published ahead of the July sitting of Tynwald.
The report provides an update on progress on the 26 recommendations put forward in Sir Jonathan Michael's review of the Island's healthcare system.
In the report, Health Minister Lawrie Hooper writes that 'financial challenges' have caused delays to implementing changes that would benefit patients on the Island, but he stresses that there has been progress on the quality and access to data.
Sir Jonathan Michael's statement in the report says he's encouraged by the progress, but equally has a degree of caution where projects have been paused.
In mid-2022, a number of transformation projects were slowed so funding could be released to other areas within health.
It also highlights the challenges the project has faced with recruitment, stating it has been difficult to retain appropriately skilled workers.
The report is due to be laid before Tynwald next month.
