Fire service issues apology after sharing RTC photo

Hydraulic cutting equipment had to be used to free one person

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has apologised for sharing a photo from a road traffic collision on the Ballamodha Straight yesterday (17 March). 

Two vehicles were involved in the collision which lead to emergency crews using hydraulic cutting equipment to free one person. 

The road from Solomon's Corner to St Marks Junction was closed for a number of hours as fire crews from Castletown and Malew station assisted members of Isle of Man ambulance to safely get all those in the vehicles out.
