First batch of Manx students to receive results this week

Grades marked from coursework following Covid lockdown

Over 1,200 Manx students will find out their A-level and GCSE grades in the coming weeks, despite the cancellation of all exams due to the coronavirus lockdown.

The first batch of IGCSE outcomes will be published tomorrow, followed by A level results on Thursday.

Pupils will still be awarded their grades by exam boards, however this year's results have been assigned from predicted grades, coursework and previous performance.

Education Minister Dr Alex Allinson says ‘the process has been designed to ensure pupils are not disadvantaged as a result of the extraordinary circumstances of recent months.'
