FSA announces review into estate agents

It's hoped project will enable greater understanding of industry

The Island's financial regulator is to look at how estate agents are meeting their anti-money laundering obligations.

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has announced a thematic review of estate agents taking place this year and beyond.

The FSA says the project will be a great opportunity to gain a better overview of the Island's estate agents, and a wider understanding of the risks they face.

Selected businesses will be asked to provide the authority with documents as part of the review, and it's hoped the engagements will help identify best practice that can be used in the wider industry.
