Residents plan two meetings
The peaceful nature of Bride village is being threatened by a multi-million project to build 55 log cabins in the area.
That's the view of Julie Billingsley, creator of an online petition against the development, which has 136 signatures.
Island-based businessman John Morphet wants to develop the Glen Truan golf course into a luxury complex, with holiday homes, bar, restaurant and spar.
The proposals have caused quite a stir in the Northern parish.
Two separate meetings have been planned by residents and commissioners in the coming week to debate the pros and cons of the proposed development.
Petitioner Julie Billingsley says many are ready to fight the plans over concerns they will radically change the rural nature of the village, increase traffic and cause harm to the environment.
She also fears the 55 new residential and holiday cabins will increase Bride's population by over half.
The proposals are available for the public to view on Saturday 30 September at the village's Church Hall between 2pm and 4.
