Preservationist hits out at council auction
A prominent heritage preservationist says the decision to auction off six horse trams was taken too quickly.
Douglas Borough Council last week announced it's to sell the unwanted carriages, with the cash raised to support the Department of Infrastructure's running of the service.
But Julian Nutter from the Manx Electric Railway Society believes that decision shouldn't have been made until the future of the trams was more certain.
