Guilty pleas from two men caught with heroin and cocaine

Douglas residents remanded at Isle of Man Prison

Two men from Douglas have been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after admitting their part in a drug operation which saw police seize almost two kilos of heroin.

Justin Grant Fayle, of Lheannag Park, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he admitted unlawfully supplying the Class A drug on 22 October.

The 39-year-old also pleaded guilty to supplying cocaine and possessing cannabis on the same date.

David John Alsop, of Ballacottier Meadows, joined Fayle in the dock; the 56-year-old has previously admitted possessing the two class A drugs, in the vicinity of Lheannag Park, with intent to supply.

The court was told the cocaine had a street value of between £124,000 and £249,000 with the heroin valued at between £199,000 and £499,000.

Both men will be sentenced at the Court of General Gaol Delivery – there was no application for bail and they will remain at the Isle of Man Prison until their next court appearance on 23 November.

Update: At Douglas Courthouse on 23 November both men were committed for sentence at the Court of General Gaol Delivery. They will next appear there on 1 December.
