'Heavy congestion' after collision near Fort North roundabout

Police urge motorists to use other routes

Police are urging motorists to stay away from the vicinity of Fort North roundabout and use an alternate route.

It follows a road traffic collision earlier today which resulted in 'heavy congestion' and part of the road being closed.

The area affected is near B&Q adjoining New Castletown Road, Kewaigue, Cooil Road and Richmond Hill.

Members of the public are asked to use alternative routes.

Southbound traffic should take the Old Castletown Road and all Northbound traffic should use the road through St Marks Village and Vicarage Road in order to bypass the scene.

Manx Radio has contacted the Isle of Man Constabulary for further information.
