Home care boss accused of using 'vulnerable' woman's bank card

51-year-old will stand trial

A Bury man who is accused of using a ‘vulnerable’ woman’s bank card to purchase items for himself will stand trial.

Peter James Heselwood, of Cross Street, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he denied committing fraud by false representation.

The 51-year-old allegedly committed the offence between 23 June and 27 August last year whilst his home care company was employed to provide care services to the ‘housebound’ complainant.

A pre-trial review will take place on 15 June; he’s been bailed until that date.
