Hopes government conference will enable residents to have 'direct' discussions

The annual event begins on 20 September

​The Isle of Man Government conference gets underway this week and it's estimated as many as 500 people are registered to attend each day.

The event sees politicians and guest speakers discuss 'critical issues' and policies being brought in across the government.

This year will see focus on several themes - housing, education and skills, and finance and government budgets.

Residents are being encouraged to sign up and have 'direct' discussions with ministers and those at the top with decision-making powers.

Speaking live on Manx Radio Breakfast, Cabinet Office Minister Kate Lord-Brennan explained why it's taking place:

The 2023 Isle of Man government Conference will take place at the Villa Marina on 20 and 21 September.
