Constabulary not in a position to provide 'full details' yet
Enquiries into an incident in Douglas which required the use of armed police are still ongoing.
The Isle of Man Constabulary has told Manx Radio it’s not in a position to provide ‘full details’ about what happened in the area of Princes Avenue on Saturday (25 November).
At the weekend the presence of armed officers was described as a ‘precautionary’ measure, whilst officers made a number of enquiries in relation to the investigation.
The constabulary maintains there is no ‘known threat to public safety at this point’ and says it will provide updates in due course.
There will continue to be firearms officers utilised until the investigation is concluded.
