Irish rider dies in Mountain crash

Alan Bonner

Loss of talented racer in qualifying session

It's been confirmed a TT rider was killed in this afternoon's qualifying session (7 June).

Alan Bonner came off at the 33rd Milestone, leading the event to be red flagged.

That incident came just hours after he placed 30th in today's  Superstock race.

The 33 year-old, from County Meath, made his TT debut in 2014, and ranked 15th overall in the 2015 Senior Race.

He leaves behind a legacy as the fastest ever Irish TT rider, with a top lap speed of 127.090 miles per hour that year.

The ACU has passed on its deepest sympathy to Alan's partner Gemma, family and friends.
