It's Parker's Parish!
Liam Parker has won the 2017 Manx Telecom Parish Walk.
The 26 year-old from Ramsey claimed his maiden title with a dominant showing.
He led from Peel and never looked like relinquishing that advantage, completing the 85-mile endurance test in a time of 15 hours 36 minutes and 59 seconds to become the youngest winner in 21 years (Lee Cain 1996).
And on a warm day throughout which made conditions difficult for walkers, Karen Chiarello became the quickest ever woman to complete the Parish, sealing second spot overall and retaining the women’s title in a record time of 15:53:44.
That took nearly five minutes off the record (15.58.35) set by Janice Quirk in 2009.
Adam Killip crossed the line in third in a time of 16.58.26.
Manx Radio saw Parker cross the line.
