Island landmark as gay marriage legalised
A bill allowing same-sex unions to officially become law has been signed off.
Confirmation was made in Tynwald that Royal Assent had been granted by the Privy Council in the UK.
It's a landmark step for gay couples, who've been allowed to enter civil partnerships since 2011.
The legislation will become effective from Friday (July 22).
