Long distance walkers highlight difficulties with Raad Ny Foillan accommodation 

But group say they would recommend 100 mile walk to others

Three walkers from Warwickshire have told Manx Radio they’d like to see better accommodation links for people walking the Raad Ny Foillan.

They completed ‘The Way of the Gull’ yesterday (26 September) – a 100 mile rote which Visit Isle of Man describes as the Island’s ‘premier long distance footpath’.

The walkers say parts of the route were ‘very overgrown’ but add they would recommend it to others; the Island is looking to increase tourist numbers to half a million each year.

But they claim finding somewhere to stay was tricky:
