Marown meeting to discuss waste disposal

Marown ratepayers are being asked for their views on waste, recycling and kerbside collections in the parish.

Village commissioners are holding a public meeting at Marown School this evening (Tues).

Over the next year in Marown, commissioners expect to spend £64,000 for the parish waste to be incinerated at the Energy from Waste Plant.

They say that will rise to £117,000 by 2018.

Local authority chairman Alison Lynch says they want to hear what locals have to say before they make any decisions.
