Ancient capital 'no ghost town' says Tony Brown

Castletown is no 'ghost town' - that line from former MHK and retailer Tony Brown, after Radcliffe Butcher's owner blamed its departure on lack of parking.

Thirty-four years of building a well-established family business, and Chris Lennon says the Callow's Yard development and regeneration works have chased him away.

Parking in one half of the square has been suspended until September.

Mr Lennon responded to the decision by saying commissioners 'don't look after you' - adding that if turnover is down each week, businesses struggle.

There's a petition on Facebook for parking to be reinstated before September.
