Relief aircraft to go on public view

A £1 million bush aircraft donated by AFD Software in Ramsey will be in use in the Far East by next month.

The plane, a purpose-built Kodiak 100, will carry out relief, humanitarian and mission work, and will be an important addition to the fleet operated by the Mission Aviation Fellowship in Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The donation is being made to mark AFD's 25th anniversary, and managing director David Dorricott says the plane will help provide a lifeline for people in a remote part of the world (play audio file):

The aircraft will be on view at an open day, organised by AFD Software, at Andreas Airfield a week tomorrow, Saturday, October 17.
