Resident calls for dropped kerb locations to be identified around the Island 

Anonymous civil servant wants to create a map

A Manx resident is calling for more to be done to make the Island accessible for people with disabilities. 

And he's come up with a simple solution which he believes will be beneficial for those who struggle with mobility. 

The man, who has asked to remain anonymous as he works for the government, wants to create a map of all the places where there are dropped kerbs.

He told Manx Radio whilst there has been a lot of talk about accessibility - in terms of parking spaces, bus stops and toilets - the pavements also need to be addressed:

He told Manx Radio he doesn't feel the Department of Infrastructure does enough for the disabled community:

Back to the man with the map plan and he says he believes his idea will enable people with disabilities to go out more confidently if it can be rolled out:

Manx Radio has invited the Department of Infrastructure to respond to the points raised in this story.
