Port Erin site earmarked for development reduced to pile of stone
Residents in Port Erin have raised concerns about the apparent slow progress of transforming a derelict building in the south.
Demolition of the former Marine Biological Station started last year following its sale to Delgatie in 2018 – now all that remains at the site is a pile of stone.
Plans have been approved to build 52 apartments, a 14-bed apartment hotel, a restaurant and retail and exhibition space as well as 160 parking spaces.

The marine biological station building stood empty since it was closed by Liverpool University in 2006.
