Road closures for cycling championships

Routes shut in the west for time trials

A number of road closures are in place in the west of the Island for the time trials at the British Cycling National Road Championships.

The main Douglas to Peel road, between Ballacraine and the Glen Mooar Road, is due to be shut until 10.30pm.

Access for residents will be maintained between the Arboretum car park and Ballacraine crossroads between 3pm and 6pm.

The following roads are shut until 3pm, then between 6pm and 9.30pm.

Station Road between the A1 Douglas to Peel Road and the A30 Patrick Road. Access will be maintained to St John’s School and for residents.

C131 Glen Mooar Road between the A1 Douglas to Peel Road and the A20 Poortown Road.

A20 Poortown Road between the Glen Mooar Road and the C3 Switchback Road.

C3 Switchback Road between the Poortown Road and the A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road.

A4 Peel to Kirk Michael Coast Road between the Switchback Road and the A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road at Douglas Road Corner, Kirk Michael.

A3 Castletown to Ramsey Road from Douglas Road Corner, Kirk Michael to the A1 Douglas to Peel Road at Ballacraine, St Johns.

Access will be maintained between the A3 Ballacraine to Castletown Road and the A1 Douglas to Ballacraine Road until 3pm, then between 6pm and 9.30pm.
