Rules tightened on contracting out

Agriculture and construction sectors prompt changes

New rules on how government should award contracts for goods and services will come into effect this year.

Tynwald approved the new measures this week, after concerns were raised by the local agriculture and construction sectors.

The Procurement Policy means all job opportunities worth £10,000 or more must be openly advertised, and the results of all tender exercises published.
