Motivational talk to inspire Manx audience
A former body guard for Nelson Mandela is to give a motivational talk in the Island later this week.
Chris Lubbe will look back at his life as an anti-apartheid activist, before he joined Mandela's protection team when South Africa's leader-in-waiting was released from prison in 1990.
As part of Mandela's inner circle, he was involved in the negotiations which led to South Africa's first democratic elections, meeting an array of world leaders and celebrities including Desmond Tutu.
He's now a globe-trotting public speaker - and themes of hope, forgiveness and overcoming the odds will be at the heart of An Evening with Chris Lubbe at the Palace Hotel on Friday (31 March). For more information go to www.prestigeartistevents.com
