Survey shows people 'strongly support' legalisation of assisted dying

Island Global Research shares results

A survey of more than 1200 Manx residents has found that 53 per cent of respondents were strongly in favour of a change in the law to allow mentally competent, terminally ill residents the option of seeking assistance in their death.

It was carried out by Island Global Research on behalf of the Campaign For Dignity In Dying.

Another 13 per cent of respondents were somewhat in favour.

In contrast 26 per cent of people taking part were strongly opposed to assisted dying with six per cent somewhat opposed.
