Teenager caused death by driving without due care

Nineteen year-old will be sentenced next month

A teenager from Peel has admitted causing death by driving without due care.

Emily Rose Dale-Beeton of Peveril Avenue has appeared in court.

She will be sentenced next month.

Miss Dale-Beeton, 19, initially pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.

Her case has been adjourned for sentence on April 24.

She was charged following a collision on the Poortown Road in St John's last October in which 43 year-old cyclist Matthew McSevney was struck.

Father of two Mr McSevney, a project manager, later died in hospital from his injuries.
