Tonight's Heysham sailings to go ahead

Had been called into question due to weather

Tonight's Manxman crossing to Heysham and the return service at 2.15am tomorrow are to go ahead as planned.

They had been in doubt due to forecast weather conditions.

The Steam Packet Company has now confirmed 'based on the latest weather forecast' it will depart as scheduled, with passengers asked to check in as normal.

However, further disruption is expected over the next couple of days.

This afternoon's Manannan departure Liverpool and the return crossing this evening have already been brought forward to avoid the worst of the conditions.

Winds reaching up to gale force eight are forecast in the Irish Sea over the next 48 hours, with gusts reaching up to 50mph tomorrow and Wednesday.
