Trial for man accused of having dog in prohibited area

Ramsey Town Commissioners prosecuting 66-year-old

A Ramsey man will stand trial in September after being accused of having his dog in a prohibited area.

Courtenay Adam Lawrence Heading, of Richmond Road, is being prosecuted by Ramsey Town Commissioners.

The 66-year-old appeared at Douglas Courthouse where a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf – the offence was allegedly committed on South Beach on 23 January.

A one-day trial will take place on 29 September; he’s been bailed until then.

Update: Following trial Magistrates fined Mr Heading £500 and ordered him to pay prosecution costs of £1,000.
