Two injured in bus incident

Police seek driver of silver car

Police are looking for help in trying to identify the driver of a car which was involved in an incident in which two bus passengers were injured.

It happened around 5.50pm on Thursday (9th) at the Quarterbridge roundabout in Douglas on the junction with the New Castletown Road.

A silver Honda Civic, which had been travelling from the New Castletown Road, turned right towards Douglas in front of the double decker which was heading towards Peel, causing the bus to brake sharply.

Two passengers were thrown from their seats and received injuries which required treatment at Nobles Hospital.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact PC Dyer at the Roads Policing Unit on 631 212.
