Viking Venus makes its maiden call to Manx waters

Hundreds of guests to explore Island today

Hundreds of cruise ship passengers will have the opportunity to explore the Isle of Man today.

The Viking Venus is making its maiden call to the Island.

The ship, which was built in 2021, carries up to 930 guests and will be in Manx waters until 7pm (9 September).

It’s part of a 28-day cruise, which started on 19 August, from Stockholm to London.

Cruise Isle of Man says it will be presenting a gift to a crew member from Zambia who is onboard.

It’s to mark the fact 100 nationalities of crew have now visited the Island in 2023.

The Zambian worker will be given a present from the Isle of Man Post Office to ‘celebrate this landmark’.
