On Air The Morning Show Marc Tyley | 9:30am - Noon

Work begins on New Castletown Road

It will take about six weeks to complete

Work is set to start on the New Castletown Road this morning to repair parts of the structure, and then resurface the road from the base of Richmond Hill back up to Spring Valley roundabout.

The work is needed as one side of the road in that section has become sunken.

It will take about six weeks to complete.

For the bulk of the period all traffic will be diverted onto the road between Kewaigue Hill and the base of Richmond Hill (sometimes known as the Energy for Waste Access Road) - where a temporary speed limit of 30mph will be in place.
