Athletics: Webster in Great Britain squad for world 100km championships

She's one of four athletes confirmed in first wave of selections

Isle of Man athlete Sarah Webster is set to represent Great Britain later this year.

The Northern AC long-distance competitor is one of four runners in the first wave of GB selections for the IAU World 100km Championships.

The event is set to take place in Bengaluru, India on 7 December, 2024.

Joining Webster in the first batch of chosen athletes are Dougie Selman of Corstorphine AAC; James Turner of Brighton & Hove AC and Melissah Gibson of Ealing Eagles.

In a strong start to the calendar year, Webster has already successfully defended her 100km Anglo-Celtic Plate title in Scotland in March and was also the fastest female in the Isle of Man 20-Mile Road Race earlier in the same month.

Any further selections for the GB and Northern Ireland squad for the world championships event in December will be made in the week commencing 22 July.
